For every two hours you spend in a smoke-filled restaurant, you are inhaling the equivalent of one pack of cigarettes in secondhand smoke. For those who work in these environments for an eight-hour shift, they are inhaling the equivalent of four packs of cigarettes. This is extremely detrimental to their health, and something needs to be done about it!

Smokers continue to voice their opinion at City Council meetings and most people in favor of the smoking ban are never heard. This petition gives all those in favor of the smoking ban a chance to speak. By signing this petition, you are demanding your representatives to enact a law which bans smoking in most public places in order to protect the health and well being of those who work in such environments as well as those who frequent those establishments.
